Job Summary: The University of St. Thomas and St. Catherine University are accepting applications for a Tenure Track Faculty position in Social Work. This position is a 9-month faculty position with primarily responsibility to our undergraduate programs (day and weekend) with some teaching at the graduate level when needed. This person will teach in a combination of the generalist practice, human behavior, and research. Faculty are expected to teach six courses per academic year. Other faculty responsibilities include student advising, committee assignments, clinical research paper advising, professional activities of research, presentation and publication, and program, school, university and community service.

The BSW program has been accredited since 1974 and the MSW program has been accredited since 1990. The BSW Program offers day and weekend options. The MSW Program offers evening and weekend cohort options. This is a thriving school with approximately 615 students and is well respected in the practice community. It offers innovative programs that strive to meet community needs. In March 2008, US News and World Report ranked the School as one of the top schools of social work in the country, in the top 25% of all schools. The vibrant and ethically diverse cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul are well known for their cultural and social amenities and have been consistently named one of the most livable metropolitan areas in the US.

Qualifications: Minimum of two years social work practice experience post MSW required, Ph.D. or D.S.W. preferred, ABD or doctoral candidate considered. Professional license required. Required strengths needed in generalist social work practice, human behavior and research. Ability to articulate a diverse/multicultural perspective required. Classroom and field experience in accredited social work program preferred.
