PSYCHOLOGIST/OTHER LICENSED MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL: North Psychology Clinic, an established private practice clinic, is seeking a PT to FT licensed clinician to provide services at its school-based site. Responsibilities include individual, family, and group therapy, diagnostic assessments, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary setting. Position Description Licensed Mental Health Therapist, NPC school-based sites The Mental Health Therapist provides a full range of psychological services to adolescents, grades 7-12. Services are provided at NPC’s school-based sites at the Brooklyn Center Area Learning Center (BCALC) and Brooklyn Center High School (BCHS). Responsibilities: § Provide individual, group, and family therapy to students and their families § Provide psychological assessments/screenings to identify mental health needs and inform treatment planning § Provide collaborative consultations with school staff and/or parents, including team meetings, special education planning, and informal consultation § Provide psychological information through a variety of methods (e.g., psycho-educational presentations to staff/parents, classroom presentations, etc.) for preventive, treatment, and staff development purposes § Maintain appropriate therapy records, billing information, and data to evaluate the program § Adhere to the ethical standards and codes of the profession, provide education to district staff about ethical issues pertaining to practicing psychology in the school setting Qualifications: § A strong passion for working with adolescents as a clinical specialty § The ablility to work with a diverse population § Experience with adolescent Chemical Dependency issues desirable § Strong clinical skills § Strong case-management skills § The ablility to develop and navigate working relationships within the larger school system § The ablility to work well in a multidisciplinary team § Ethical integrity § The ability to self-motivate and self-direct § Excellent communication skills § Flexible/creative problem-solving skills § Psychologist or other Mental Health Professional, licensed in MN and eligible for insurance panels to credential for insurance reimbursement |
